Kilroys on tour - SA July 2016
This past July Mammy and Daddy Kilroy journeyed to South Africa to meet Lize's family for the first time. We took them on a little tour beforehand to show them some of the beautiful sights to be seen in South Africa. We started off in Stellenbosch where we met Lize's mum for a gorgeous dinner and drinks. Next we stopped over in the scenic town Franschoek for a fun day of wine tasting, then went off to the hot springs in Montagu. After that we headed to Lutzville to introduce them to some more of Lize's family. Communication was a bit tough at times, but the families seemed to hit it off in the end. The Kilroy's were shown all the sites in the town and had some tasty bbq's and local wine. After 5 lovely days with Lize's family we headed back to Stellenbosch. We used Stellenbosch as a base and went on sightseeing day trips to Cape point, the Waterfront in Cape Town and Camps bay. On our last day in Cape town we went on a short but sweet helicopter tour around Robin Island and back with spectacular views of Cape town and Table Mountain. It was great fun showing Bridie and Gerry around in South Africa and we hope that they are looking forward to the next trip as much as we are.
