Velocity vectors, zonal wind and geopotential at 700 mb

Contour levels for the zonal wind are 5 m s^-1. A westerly zonal wind component exceeding 5 m s^-1 is shaded pink and one exceeding 10 m s^-1 is shaded light red, an easterly component exceeding these value is shaded light blue or medium blue.
