Wind vectors, contours of the vertical component of relative vorticity, geopotential and horizontal convergence at 925 mb

The following plots show wind vectors with contours of the horizontal convergence (left column) and contours of the vertical component of relative vorticity and geopotential for the ITEX period. Contour levels for the convergence are 1 s^-1; for relative vorticity YY s^-1, and for geopotential ZZ m. Regions of convergence greater than XX s^-1 in magnitude shaded pink, regions of divergence greater than this value shaded light blue. Regions of convergence greater than XX s^-1 in magnitude shaded red, regions of divergence greater than this value shaded blue. Regions of cyclonic relative vorticity greater than XX s^-1 in magnitude shaded pink, regions of anticyclonic vorticity greater than this value shaded light blue. Regions of cyclonic relative vorticity greater than XX s^-1 in magnitude shaded pink, regions of anticyclonic vorticity greater than this value shaded light blue. Negative contours dashed. Note that the wind vector magnitudes are slightly different in the two sets of plots.
