Comparison of Radiative Transfer Models

 

Comparisons between radiative transfer models are carried out to ensure the quality of the models. Since there is a wide variety of different models of quite different quality (and different effort), using different sets of input data, such a comparison is a difficult task. However, during the last years some model intercomparisons took place. The corresponding results depend on the different approaches and goals of the model intercomparisons.
